CEF Honors Black Queens

CHAPEL HILL–The Community Empowerment Fund, a non-profit organization serving Durham and Orange Counties, recently hosted its third annual Share The Love event in Carrboro, celebrating the extraordinary black queens of the community. During the event, Yvette Matthews, the Office and Community Organizer, highlighted the importance of acknowledging the significant impact that black women have on their neighborhoods.

“These women are genuinely transforming our communities, and it’s vital that we honor and celebrate them,” Matthews stated.
