A crowd of over a dozen individuals came together in Raleigh yesterday to celebrate the launch of the RREP’s Mobile Recidivism Reduction Center. This center is dedicated to uplifting underserved communities and helping individuals reintegrate successfully into society.
With a sole focus on empowerment throughout North Carolina, this mobile center will provide vital services such as:
Vocational training
Mental health support
Housing assistance
Hygiene kits
Substance misuse treatment
Legal aid
Life skills training
Educational and skill development
Family community support
And more
Executive Director Kerwin Pittman, a prominent figure in social justice activism and criminal justice reform, emphasized the significance of this center for the residents of North Carolina.
“ We have to create a world that will be better for future generations. The goal is to not only equip people with the proper resources to integrate back into society, but empower them as well. Also, the goal is to have a few mobile centers by the end of this year, so we can reach people in each region”.
